There’s no better way to celebrate this leap year than with some leaping, jumping, and dancing to raise money for the Branson Arts Council and A Day for Shay and Pals.
So, our own Chuck O’Day, general manager of the Hollywood Wax Museum in Branson, Missouri, who has never danced before, will strut his stuff on February 29, 2012 as part of Dancing with the Stars of Branson.
Just like ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, Dancing with the Stars of Branson will pair community leaders and local celebrities with professional dancers to compete for first place. Audience members will get to decide on their favorite couple by donating one dollar per vote, with each team’s bucks going to the charity of its choice.
Chuck and his partner professional dancing partner Stephanie Richardson of Legends in Concert will be kicking their heels up for Generation Rescue’s A Day for Shay and Pals. This annual Branson, Missouri event raises funds to research and find treatments for autism in honor of Chuck and wife Michelle’s five-year-old daughter Shay, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 18 months. Chuck and Stephanie will compete with seven other couples for the title. The Hollywood Wax Museum in Branson, Missouri is their official “Couple Sponsor”.
The event is expected to sell out, with proceeds from ticket sales going to the Branson Arts Council. VIP passes are $50 and include entrance to the kickoff party, complete with cocktails and appetizers, and table seating in the balcony of Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater. Preferred seating is $20, and reserved seating is $15.
The crew at the Hollywood Entertainment Center in Branson, Missouri wishes Chuck and Stephanie good luck! Break a leg… errr… maybe just break dance…!
